Stewarts of Kilcloon
Situated between Maynooth and Dunboyne in Co. Meath, our farm in Kilcloon represents a new vista of opportunity for all at Stewarts. Spread over 13 acres, we have created a new space in which service users are offered challenging experiences in animal husbandry, horticulture, creative activities and equestrian opportunities. The farm hosts a state-of–the- art Equestrian and Day Service Centre, designed to make the best use of natural and sustainable resources. The Adapted Equestrian Centre offers equipment and expertise specifically tailored for people with an intellectual disability. Kilcloon presents service users with an opportunity to taste, feel and enjoy the wonder of open spaces with new day service facilities to promote learning and creative activities.
Kilcloon is also the venue for the Paddocks Restaurant.
Currently, apart from equestrian activities, horticulture and animal husbandry, our farm hosts many social, educational and recreational activities throughout the year. During 2008 we will develop a new pottery production facility, adding to our existing range of products, which are available for purchase at the Coach House in Palmerstown. Future plans include the provision of respite faicilities to allow service users a well-deserved break on the farm!
Kilcloon Equestrian Centre has been supported by Government under the Dormant Accounts Fund.
