Our Sports and Leisure Centre provides an essential element of our commitment to lifelong care at Stewarts. Promoting physical activity and social engagement, the Sports Centre delivers healthy lifestyle programmes for all of our service users, their families, our staff and the wider community. School term activity camps for children are offered at competitive rates, with special arrangements for working parents.

Our recently refurbished Sports Hall, with its innovative mezzanine design, allows for the widest possible range of sporting, social and recreational activities, which are presented throughout each day and into the evening, seven days per week. The hall can be divided into three separate functioning areas, which allows for the greatest flexibility in providing choices for sporting and recreational activities. Stewarts swimming instruction is second to none and all of our staff are fully qualified and committed to promoting swimming as a fun and fulfilling activity. During 2007 we secured the refurbishment of dressing rooms, with particular attention to affording mobility and dignity to our clients. The pool area was also refurbished. We also developed a new Adapted Physical Activity Centre within the Sports and Leisure Centre in partnership with Dublin City University.
