The Organisation:
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in the West Dublin area.
We support people with a wide range of support needs across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.
Stewarts Care is the lead agency for two interdisciplinary CDNT teams (CDNT-5 and 6) in line with Progressing Children’s Disability Services. This position is based in CDNT5, Rossecourt.
Purpose of the Post:
As Clerical Officer the successful candidate will provide an administrative support service in a busy environment. Working in a care setting, the successful candidate will work within an established supportive team and can build and maintain excellent relationships at every level across a varied and multi-faceted organisation.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
Minimum two years previous administrative experience in a busy environment.
Experience working in the area of Intellectual Disabilities and or Disability Services desirable.
Knowledge of Community Healthcare Organisation Governance of Children’s Disability Network Service would be an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and database management.
Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical, organisational, and administrative skills, with proven excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, adapting to the situation, the information being communicated and the recipients of what is being communicated.
Ability to work independently using own initiative and as an effective team member.
Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks, with a focus on continuous improvement to drive efficiency.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Clerical Officer, Grade III €27,145-€44,113 inc. LSI per annum.

Reporting Relationship
Children’s Disability Network Manager or person nominated by them.
Job Purpose
To provide administrative and operational support to the Children’s Disability Network Team in a busy environment.
To build and maintain excellent relationships at every level, with children, families, within the team and the wider stake holders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
General administration in the delivery of processes associated with the Children’s Disability Network Team.
First point of contact for children and families attending appointments in the CDNT building.
Follow through with general queries from parents and stakeholders such as schools, PHNs, GPs and hospitals.
Administer, participate in and assist with the team’s processes such as maintaining service user databases, logging referrals, sending out standard letters to families and stake holders.
Provide administrative support to CDNT in delivery of training and workshops for families and stakeholders.
Review files as required and provide support with Freedom of Information Requests.
Provide scheduling support to the team.
Maintain data integrity through various system audits.
Minute taking at Team meetings or meetings as required.
Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Organisation.
Promote a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.
Support the core values of the Children’s Disability Network Team as outlined in the Progressing Disability Services national documentation.
Promote a culture that values equality, diversity and respect in the workplace.
Manage own workload in accordance with the needs of the post.

Candidates must demonstrate sufficient competency and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following criteria relevant to the role:

Terms and Conditions of Employment Clerical Grade III
Remuneration
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Clerical Officer, Grade III €27,145-€44,113 inc. LSI per annum.
Your salary is paid monthly (16th unless when 16th falls on Saturday or Sunday you are paid on the Friday prior to the 16th) by direct credit transfer into any Bank or Building Society of your choice where the paypath system operates.
Annual leave
23 Days per annum
Working week
The hours allocated to this post are tbc hours per week exclusive of lunch breaks.
The allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Senior Manager, Rossecourt and in accordance with the needs of the service.
Probation
All employees will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months, with an extension if required to 9 months. This probationary period applies to all employees irrespective of their role or type of role.
Garda Vetting
Stewarts Care will carry out Garda vetting on all new employees. An employee will not take up employment with the organisation until the Garda Vetting process has been completed and the organisation is satisfied that such an appointment does not pose a risk to the service users and employees.
