The Organisation:
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities.
We support people across a wide range of services within residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post:
The Graphic Facilitator will develop a visual record of an individual’s P.A.T.H (Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope) plan, presenting conversation, plans and goals as a series of visual images.
Candidates must meet the following criteria relevant to the role:
A Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration is essential.
Experience working in the area of disability is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite; strong ICT skills relevant to the role.
Demonstrate genuine respect and empathy for diversity and individuality.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Current salary scale: €40,325 - €58,483 p.a.

Job Purpose
The Graphic Facilitator will develop a visual record of an individual’s P.A.T.H (Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope) plan, presenting conversation, plans and goals as a series of visual images.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Work effectively with the P.A.T.H Process Facilitator, residents, and other key people to facilitate P.A.T.Hs in an environment that nurtures individuality and promotes choice.
To facilitate individuals to develop a positive vision for their future, and to identify steps to accomplish their goals visually.
To ensure a person-centered approach is implemented throughout the P.A.T.H process to ensure P.A.T.Hs are truly reflective of the individual’s personal hopes and aspirations.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration is essential.
Experience working in the area of disability is essential.
Competencies, Skills & Knowledge

P.A.T.H
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You may be required to perform any other such duties as may be assigned by the Director of Corporate Services or person nominated by them. As the duties and responsibilities of any post in Stewarts Care are likely to change with on-going needs of services users, staff are expected to have a high level of flexibility and a willingness to develop new approaches to their work.
Summary Terms and Conditions of Employment
Graphic Facilitator – Stewarts Care
Remuneration
Current salary scale: €40,325 - €58,483 p.a.
Salary is paid monthly (16th unless when 16th falls on Saturday or Sunday in which case payment will be made on the Friday prior to the 16th) by direct credit transfer into any Bank or Building Society of your choice where the paypath system operates.
Salary is pro rated for part time hours.
Annual leave
24 days annual leave, pro rated for part time hours
Working week
The hours allocated to this post are 19.5 hours per week over Mon – Fri. The standard working day will be agreed with the line manager and is exclusive of lunch breaks.
The allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Director of Care Residents Services and in accordance with the needs of the service.
Probation
All employees will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months. This probationary period applies to all employees irrespective of their role or type of role.
Garda Vetting
Stewarts Care will carry out Garda vetting on all new employees. An employee will not take up employment with the organisation until the Garda Vetting process has been completed and the organisation is satisfied that such an appointment does not pose a risk to service users and employees.
