The Organization:

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in the West Dublin area. Stewarts is the lead agency for the above newly established interdisciplinary CDNT teams, CDNT5 and 6, in line with Progressing Children’s Disability Services. These teams will be based in Stewarts Care, Palmerstown, and Rossecourt, Lucan. This post is for CDNT 5 Lucan.

We are seeking an energetic, flexible, innovative and enthusiastic Senior Social Worker to join our newly established interdisciplinary team to provide a quality evidence based Social Work service, including assessment of family needs, and a range of advisory, practical and skilled emotional supports to families and children, aged 0 to 18 with disabilities. Group work, safeguarding and training work are also important aspects of the role.

The Senior Social worker will carry a case load, including a greater complexity of individual/family need, supervise social work staff & students as required and take the social work lead in key areas of service development, reporting to the CDNT manager.

Ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload, and work in an inter-disciplinary way using a family centred practice approach are also keys requirements of the role.

Essential

  • NQSW and Degree or Masters in Social Work or equivalent

  • CORU Registered

  • 3 years minimum post qualifying experience

Desirable

  • Experience of working with families & children

  • Experience of working in Disability, Child Safeguarding, Group work, acting in a senior position

  • Full Driver’s License and access to a car

Salary and qualifications are in accordance with HSE consolidated pay scales €61,331 to €70,745 per annum.
