For over 150 years, Stewarts Care has provided a wide range of services that promote the education, wellbeing, dignity, health and happiness of people with an intellectual disability. In 2022, we embark on the next stage of our journey with the launch of Our Shared Ambition: Stewarts Care Strategy (2022-2026).
Our Shared Ambition is built on our refreshed vision – to imagine, innovate and create a world of choice with individuals whose dreams and aspirations have no boundaries. We aim to achieve our vision through empowering and supporting individuals with different abilities to have an enriched life experience based on their own decisions and life choices. Through leveraging our existing strengths, and clearly defining our ambitions, Our Shared Ambition will act as our strategic guide to making our vision a reality.
We know that our success relies upon our ability to listen and respond to the needs of the people that benefit from our service. People have always been, and will continue to be, at the core of what we do. For our organisation to thrive, Stewarts Care will continue to adapt to the needs of the people we serve and to respond to the challenges that may come. We will deliver continuous improvements in our performance, drive cost efficiency and establish our sustainability ambitions whilst staying true to our person-centred focus.
Our Shared Ambition was developed through comprehensive consultation with the people we serve, families, the Board of Stewarts Care, our employees, our partners the Department of Health, the Health Service Executive, and our colleagues across the intellectual disability sector. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who gave their time in the creation of our strategy. Your input will ensure we can successfully achieve each of our strategic objectives.
With the launch of Our Shared Ambition, Stewarts Care is reaffirming its commitment to providing optimal supports to everyone that benefits from the services we provide. To ensure we stay on track, we have developed a detailed implementation plan and are committed to sharing our progress over the lifetime of the strategy. We know that in order for us to achieve the ambitious targets we have set ourselves, we need the support of all our stakeholders. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with you over the course of our strategy and beyond.
