The Beehive Restaurant is a catering training area which provides on a daily basis breakfast and lunch for 24 service users and approximately 60 customers consisting of members of the public, staff of the organisation, local businesses and families. The service users are involved in all aspects of the restaurant including food preparation, hospitality, customer service, hygiene and health & safety. Service users are encouraged to develop and set individual goals and take part in physical, social and community activities. Service users can be referred to the Job Advocate Support Service (JASS) waitlist for work experience both internally within the organisation and externally. Service users are offered a range of training modules that they can choose to participate in.

The Beehive Bakery is located downstairs in the Old Beehive Restaurant and provides training for up to six service users. The Bakery provides a training programme in baking and provides 405 units of bakery goods daily to other enterprises in Day Services and members of the public. The quantity of produce and types of produce will be solely service user driven within the range of the individual service user’s capabilities. Service users through their individualised training programme are involved in all aspects of the bakery environment, including hygiene, preparation of breads, savoury and sweet products, health and safety, and working in a team environment. Service users are encouraged to develop and set individual goals and take part in physical, social and community activities. Service users can be referred to the Job Advocate Support Service (JASS) waitlist for work experience both internally within the organisation and externally. Service users are offered a range of training modules that they can choose to participate in.
